Dr. Yousef joined Ajman University in August 2018 as a bilingual lecturer in Islamic Culture. He holds a Ph.D. in Islamic Studies from the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, specializing in Fiqh and Uṣūl al-Fiqh. Prior to this, he earned his Bachelor's degree in Islamic Studies from the University of Damascus and later completed his Master's degree in Islamic Studies at the University of Gloucestershire in the UK. Dr. Yousef's research interests span a range of fields, including Islamic law, principles of Islamic jurisprudence (Uṣūl al-Fiqh), Islamic civilization, Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah, ethics, and interfaith and intercultural dialogue.
