Samer H. Zyoud holds a Ph.D. in Applied and Engineering Physics from Universiti Sains Malaysia, specializing in semiconductor fabrication, thin films, epitaxy, and nanostructures. With a distinguished 21-year academic career, he is a faculty member who coordinates the Advanced Nanotechnology Research Group. He has made significant contributions to the scientific community, evidenced by over 100 research papers in leading international journals, six patents, and numerous books and book chapters. The individual's expertise encompasses semiconductor materials and devices, nano-metal oxide and chalcogenide thin films and powders, organic thin films, and organic Schottky diodes. His knowledge also extends to polymer composites and nanocomposites, graphene oxide, bioceramics, semiconductor lasers, water treatment, antimicrobials, and nanophotocatalytic materials. He is proficient in device design, with experience in diodes, MSM sensors, photodiodes, silver nanowire-based optoelectronics, and solar cells. He is a committed peer reviewer and editor for several high-impact journals. Additionally, he holds committee memberships on the academic reputation, the scientific research, the annual plan and budget, and the internationalization committees.
