Dr. Samer H. Zyoud is a distinguished academic with a Ph.D. in Applied and Engineering Physics from Universiti Sains Malaysia, specializing in semiconductor fabrication, thin films, epitaxy, and nanostructures. With over 21 years of experience, Dr. Zyoud is a faculty member and the coordinator of the Advanced Nanotechnology Research Group. His extensive contributions to the scientific community include over 100 research papers published in top international journals, six patents, and multiple books and book chapters. Dr. Zyoud's expertise spans a wide range of areas, including semiconductor materials and devices, nano-metal oxide and chalcogenide thin films and powders, organic thin films, and organic Schottky diodes. He also has in-depth knowledge of polymer composites, nanocomposites, graphene oxide, bioceramics, semiconductor lasers, water treatment, antimicrobials, and nanophotocatalytic materials. His proficiency in device design covers a variety of technologies, including diodes, MSM sensors, photodiodes, silver nanowire-based optoelectronics, and solar cells. In addition to his research, Dr. Zyoud is an active peer reviewer and editor for several prestigious journals. He also serves on several key academic committees, including those focused on academic reputation, scientific research, annual planning and budgeting, and internationalization.
