Insaf Chahdoura

Insaf Chahdoura has been a lecturer in Arts, Theater, and Aesthetics at Ajman University since 2017, specializing in Culture and Arts. She holds a Master's degree in Aesthetics and Practices of Visual Arts and a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the University of Sousse, Tunisia. She has participated in and received awards from numerous international artistic and scientific events and forums. She is interested in visual arts, art history in general, aesthetics, and semiology in particular, printmaking art, and is specialized in visual art criticism. Her research focuses on the intersection of visual arts with other disciplines such as psychology, ethics, and others. She started her career in 2008 as an art teacher at the Higher Institute of Computer Science and Technology in Tunis. She is also a practitioner. She worked in the UAE in Dubai as a colorist (FF&E) at an interior design company for two years and worked in Abu Dhabi for five years as a lecturer in arts and aesthetics, where she gained experience in academics, research, community service, and as an internal assessor. She participated in many exhibitions, festivals, and conferences as an artist and researcher in visual arts. She received an award from the National Conference for Caricature in Tunisia in 2006 and was honored and nominated for the Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Young Arts in Dubai, where her artwork (printmaking) was selected to be part of the 2012 Awards Exhibition. She was also honored by His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan at the Emirati Creative Exhibition and Forum, in addition to many other achievements at the local and international levels.
