This study focuses on examining the role of Virtual Reality in improving the students’ educational experiences through Learning Management System in Pakistan. The researchers adopted a cross-sectional design and analyzed the gathered data by using survey questionnaires. By using the SEM, findings indicated a strong, significant relationship between Virtual Reality, Expectation Confirmation (p < 0.000), Attitude (p < 0.000), and Knowledge Acquisition (p < 0.000. However, the relationship between Behavioral Intention, Expectation Confirmation (p < 0.451) and Attitude (p < 0.161) remained insignificant. On the other hand, the proposed relationship between Knowledge Acquisition and Behavioral was strongly significant, with the p-value at 0.000. Finally, results revealed a strong, significant relationship between Behavioral Intention and Improved Learning Management System Experiences with the t-value at 10.474 and p-value at 0.000. Thus, this article concluded that it is important to develop and incorporate Virtual and Augmented Reality in education. Especially when the students depend on digital learning platforms, Virtual Reality adoption improves their learning experiences.
The study analyses how youth perceive social media Influencers and whether they affect their purchasing intentions and buying decisions. It also measures influencers’ attractiveness, expertise, and trustworthiness while communicating with consumers. In addition, the study explores the types of digital interaction with influencers, measures the impact of their online marketing activities on purchasing intentions, and finds differences between youth demographic segments. A total of 350 youth participants in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) completed an online survey evaluating influencers’ characteristics, promotional videos, types of youth interaction with their content, and their impacts on youth purchasing intentions. The findings show that youth in UAE consider that influencers have positive personal appeals, traits, and information support to attract their followers and encourage them to purchase. Furthermore, the results reveal that influencers push youth to search for more information about the products and visit marketers’ websites. Influencers’ social media activities also affect youth’s interests, desires, and purchase intentions by helping them assess the products.
The September 11 attacks have dramatically shifted the spotlight of mainstream media and Cinema to Muslims in covering their socio-cultural norms. The Cinema developed a new theme of War films that usually projects Muslims as adversaries. As a result, the negative sentiments regarding Muslims and Islam have risen significantly in the Western world. In this researcher, we analyzed Hollywood films released after 9/11 using standard content analysis. In this qualitative research, we explored several facets of Muslim identity, including those related to depictions of Muslims. The findings reveal that Hollywood movies mainly represented Muslims as antagonistic to Western values concerning women's rights, intolerance, and oppression. The research found that movies made in Hollywood perpetuate Islamophobic rhetoric. According to the projections seen in films, Hollywood helps fuel anti-Muslim prejudice, often known as Islamophobia. As a result, this study looked at Hollywood's involvement in sticking to socio-political reasons by looking into films that are capable of creating interest in and discussion about the largely unfavorable representation of Muslims. We recommend future research on the comparative analysis of Hollywood War films before the War on terror, during the War on Terror, and the process of induction to Islamophobic discourse.
A hybrid analysis of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and Artificial Neural Network (ANN), through SmartPLS and SPSS software, as well as the importance-performance map analysis (IPMA) were used to examine the impact of YouTube videos content on Jordanian university students’ behavioral intention regarding eLearning acceptance, in Jordan. According to the evaluation of both ANN and IPMA, performance expectancy was the most important and, theoretically, several explanations were provided by the suggested model regarding the impact of intention to adopt eLearning from Internet service determinants at a personal level. The findings coincide greatly with prior research indicating that users’ behavioral intention to adopt eLearning is significantly affected by their performance expectancy and effort expectancy. The paper contributed to technology adoption e.g., YouTube in academia, especially in Jordan. Respondents showed a willingness to employ and adopt the new technology in their education. Finally, the findings were presented and discussed through the UTAUT and TAM frameworks.
The study conducted aims to form a conceptual model to calculate the pupils’ acceptance of social media in education and its factors. The study is carried out by extending the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) using social influence factors. Alongside this, the collected data is evaluated through Machine learning approaches and the partial least squares-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). A total of 350 students enrolled at highly regarded universities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) filled out questionnaire surveys, then analyzed, and results are stated. This research suggests that students’ intention to adopt social media networks in learning is significant social influence, perceived usefulness, and ease of use.
The global pandemic raised several social and economic challenges worldwide. Executing lockdown and closure of educational institutions became only options to mitigate these challenges, leading to educational barriers for billions of students worldwide. In such a situation, the acceptance, adoption and integration of ICT informally supported the learning process. However, policymakers, instructors and critics anticipated adverse consequences due to a fast shift from conventional to eLearning system. In this regard, the current research scrutinized the intervening role of gender in eLearning acceptance during Covid-19 outbreak. Additionally, this study also examines the impact of eLearning acceptance on students’ academic performance under Media System Dependency Theory. Data was gathered from n= 300 participants currently enrolled in n= 3 public sector universities in Islamabad, Pakistan. Results from quantitative data analysis indicated moderately significant gender differences concerning eLearning acceptance during the Covid-19. Similarly, findings also revealed a significant positive correlation between female students and conventional learning, male students and eLearning acceptance. Here the inferential statistics also highlighted the positive impacts of eLearning on students’ academic performance during Covid-19. The study concludes that gender is moderately hindering eLearning acceptance during the Covid-19 pandemic. Even though eLearning positively influences educational performance, stakeholders need to reconsider the current policies and ensure web-based as equally acceptable for all.
