Dr. Atef Abdelkader is an associate professor and head of Math and Science department. He holds a PhD in Physics from The Queen’s University, U.K. His PhD project concerned the physics of 2D foam. This work was characterized by innovative experimental approaches and careful analysis. It set new standards in the field and settled two separate controversies in a rather final way. He also found novel and quite unexpected phenomena, which are still only partly understood. Dr. Abdelkader groundbreaking research concentrated on the physics of two-dimensional foam, using cutting-edge experimental techniques to resolve long-standing debates. His expertise extends to the optical properties of nanoplasmonic particles for nanophotonics, product development and fabrication, flexible solar modules, roll-to-roll processing, and final product testing.
