Dr. Atef Abdelkader is an Associate Professor and Head of the Math and Science Department. He holds a PhD in Physics from The Queen's University, U.K., with a research focus on the physics of two-dimensional foam. His PhD project introduced innovative experimental techniques and thorough analytical methods, setting new standards in the field and resolving two long-standing controversies in a conclusive manner. His groundbreaking work in the field of two-dimensional foam, utilizing state-of-the-art experimental techniques, has significantly advanced our understanding of complex physical processes. In addition to his research, Dr. Abdelkader’s expertise spans the optical properties of nanoplasmonic particles for nanophotonics, product development, fabrication, flexible solar modules, roll-to-roll processing, and final product testing.
