Introduction to Sociology
Course Description

This course explores the origin and development of sociology, defines sociology and its fields, explores the pioneers of sociology, such as Ibn Khaldun, Auguste Comte, Karl Marx, and Max Weber. In addition to the aforementioned, this course explores the relation between sociology and other sciences, social processes resulting from social relationships, such as cooperation, conflict, integration, competitiveness, and conciliation, among others, the theoretical trends and classic methodology of sociology, social classes, social grades, social movement, and social systems forming social structures, such as proximity, economic, political, and religious systems.
