A team of accounting students from the College of Business participated in the ESG Boardgame Workshop, organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) at Canadian University Dubai. The workshop provided an interactive learning experience focused on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles through structured board games simulating real-world business challenges.
Students explored sustainable business practices, corporate social responsibility, and ethical governance while networking with industry professionals, ICAEW experts, and PwC representatives. The workshop emphasized the growing importance of ESG in accounting and finance, aligning with the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between AU and ICAEW to enhance professional development in accounting education.
The CBA team, supervised by Ms. Ariba Sabah, an Assistant Instructor at the College of Business Administration, highlighted the value of hands-on workshops in preparing them for the evolving global business landscape. Prof. Ibrahim Elsiddig, Head of the Department of Accounting, emphasized the value of the workshop, stating, "This event aligns with CBA's commitment to equipping students with the essential skills and perspectives needed in the global business world."
