On November 18 and 20, 2024, College of Business Administration students visited the state-of-the-art Healthcare Simulation and Clinical Competence Center (HSCCC) at Ajman University's College of Medicine as part of their Service Marketing course. The trip aimed to bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world application by highlighting the importance of employee training in service-based industries and the innovative use of robotics.
Hosted by Ms. Mashayel Nasser, the center's simulation technologist, the visits showcased how cutting-edge mannequin robots are used to simulate real-life scenarios for training future medical professionals. Students gained valuable insights into how such training enhances service quality, reduces errors, and prepares employees for high-pressure situations.
“These visits offered our students a practical understanding of how technology and training intersect to improve service delivery,” said Dr. Katariina Juusola, who organized the visit. "The hands-on exposure brought to life the concepts we've been discussing in class, particularly the role of technology in creating seamless service experiences."
The visits to HSCCC highlight the university's commitment to experiential learning and preparing students for the dynamic challenges of service-driven industries.
