CBA’s Career Day Enhance Job Prospects

The College of Business Administration (CBA) hosted its 2019 Career Day on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 9:00 AM.

Dr. Martin West, Dean of the College of Business Administration, delivered an inspirational speech to the students, faculty, alumni and industry partners.  

The Career Day gave more than 140 students from all majors within the College an opportunity to meet with participating companies for potential internships and jobs. It provided them to convene with industry partners to learn about different career paths, understand what to do with their major, hiring tips, and the current employment climate.

The participants were able to connect with employers such as Honda Gulf FZE, Dusit Thani, Almarai,Talentsouq, Mazi Contracting, Alan and Partners FZE, Mazi Car Rental, Genration Strong Fitness, Brillant Training Center, The Grooming Company, D Marketing Group  and GGB Expat Journey Travel and Consultancy Service. One of the highlights of the event was a seminar titled “How to Ace Your Job Interview”, delivered by Mr. Alvin Joseph Fernandez, Managing Director of Talentsouq.

Several participants were delighted and expressed their satisfaction with the event and were glad they attended. More than 30 applicants were shortlisted for various employment and internship positions.

The participants were provided the opportunity to develop a greater awareness of what is available to them along with today’s labor market trends.
