CBA's Career Day 2023- A resounding success in enhancing employability
The College of Business Administration organized its 6th CBA Career Day 2023 on March 20th at the Sheikh Zayed Center from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The career day was hosted by CBA faculty members Dr. Rekha Pillai and Professor Gyanendra Sisodia. The main goal of the event was to help business students achieve their goals in securing future jobs, internships, and healthy corporate associations.
More than 100 students from all majors within the College attended the event and all were able to connect closely with industry partners to learn about different career paths and trends in the current employment climate. Prof Akinola Fadahunsi, Dean of CBA delivered the inaugural speech and Mr. Venkata Raman, managing partner of SEED VC Innovation fund in DIFC, Founding Partner of Mobius Management solutions and Infinite Solutions enlightened the audience with the keynote address on ‘Metaverse: Opportunities ahead’.
Twelve companies participated in the event namely Amiviz, Dubai, Desert Rose Trading, Ajman, Institute of Applied experience, Dubai, Infinite Solutions Dubai, Lincoln University of Business and Management, Sharjah, Metaverse Technologies, Dubai, Premier Consulting services, Dubai, Pure Metal Coating, Ajman, Real Secure, Dubai, Seed VC Innovation fund, Dubai and Tanmyah Services, Dubai.
Participating companies and students expressed their satisfaction with the organization of the event. Several internship opportunities were provided to students with the event benefitting exchange students as well.
