AU Students Volunteer for ‘Manzil’ Community Development Drive
AU students volunteered for ‘Manzil community development drive’ on February 18th 2023 Manzil is a non-profit support group called ‘Special Families Support’ which was started by Director Dr Ayesha Husaini on 9th December 1999. The support group blossomed into “Manzil”, a non-profit Center that was officially inaugurated on February 7th, 2005, by Sheikha Jameela Mohammed Al Qasimi, Director General, Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services. Coming together under the supervision of CBA’s Dr Rekha Pillai, eighteen students from the College of Business Administration and the College of Engineering & IT participated in the community drive by assisting in moving furniture, discarding construction waste, setting up shelves and painting walls for a new facility to be inaugurated for the children of determination.
