Fourth Annual CAAD Student Awards

The College of Architecture, Art & Design (CAAD) at Ajman University celebrated the fourth edition of its annual CAAD Student Awards on February 22, 2024. Launched in 2021, the CAAD Student Awards recognize academic excellence, creative endeavor, and leadership in the Architecture and Interior Design streams of the college.

Award categories and criteria include:

• Best Architectural Design Award: Nominated by their design instructor, this award recognizes students who demonstrate outstanding performance in their Design course each academic semester.
• Best Interior Design Award: Deserving students are nominated by their design instructor for their exceptional performance in the Interior Design course each academic semester.
• Student Leader of the Year Award: This award honors students who excel in extracurricular activities, contribute to the organization of student events, communicate effectively with peers, volunteer for community service, or make other notable contributions.
• Most Improved Performance: Recognizes students showing significant GPA improvement during the year, by no less than +0.5.
• Best Graduation Project Award (one for each program): Awarded to students displaying outstanding performance in their Graduation Projects, as nominated by their graduation instructor at the end of the academic year.
• Best Overall Student: Presented to the student with the highest GPA in the college who has completed at least 40 credit hours by the award submission deadline.
• Best BIM Project: Students nominated by their instructors at the end of each academic semester for their exceptional work in Building Information Modeling.
• Best Generative Design: Recognizes students with outstanding performance in their Generative Design course, as nominated by their instructors.
• Best 3D Printed Model: Awarded to the student who demonstrates the most unique 3D printed design using campus 3D printers.
• Best Digital Sketching: Honors the student with the most impressive digital sketches.
