Hadil Al Bustami is an Interior Design lecturer at Ajman University with over a decade of experience in both academia and the profession. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from Ajman University and a Master of Science (MSc) in Sustainable Design of the Built Environment from The British University in Dubai (BUiD). Currently, she is a Research Scholar pursuing a PhD in Creative Arts at Universiti Malaya, Malaysia. Throughout her career, Hadil has made significant contributions to the Interior Design department at AU, teaching courses such as Introduction to Design, Freehand Drawing, Digital Sketching, and Sustainable Design. Her teaching focuses on fostering creative thinking, technical skills, and sustainability in design. Hadil is a leading researcher in sustainable design within the built environment, specializing in Indoor Air Quality, Sustainable Built Environments, and Biomimicry. Her work inspires future designers to integrate sustainability into their projects. Beyond teaching, Hadil has organized key workshops and events, including the Sustainable Summer School at BUiD (2012), the Annual Interior Design Exhibition at AU (2014), and the Interior Design Week (2020). She has also coordinated workshops like "Design Thinking in Education" with Nolte Kitchen UAE and actively participates in design competitions such as the DIFC Art Night and Earth Soul Festival in Dubai, showcasing innovative work using recycled materials.
