Gamal El Sayed Ali El Samanoudy

Prof. Elsamanoudy received his Ph.D. degree in Interior Architecture with a specialization in Museum & Exhibition Design from École d'Architecture de Versailles, France, and the University of Helwan, Egypt, in 2000. He also obtained his MS degree in Islamic Interiors from the University of Helwan, Egypt, in 1993. Prior to that, he earned a BFA in Interior Architecture from Helwan University, Egypt, College of Fine Arts, in 1983. With over 40 years of experience in teaching at universities in Egypt, Jordan, and the UAE, Prof. Elsamanoudy has extensive expertise in research and interior design project applications. He is the author of several publications in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals and conferences. In May 2018, Prof. Elsamanoudy was selected as APID's Ambassador to prepare for the biannual IFI Congress Dubai 2020, hosted by APID. He is a member of many professional institutions, including ex-ICOM, and serves on various journal editing boards. Additionally, he is involved in evaluating, peer reviewing, and judging specialized competitions, such as the Journal for Interdisciplinary Art and Education (JIAE).
