World Food Safety Day, June 7, 2024

As part of the ongoing effort to ensure the health and safety of the AU community, the Office of Medical Services celebrated “World Food Safety Day” with the theme” Food safety: prepare for the unexpected” on June 7, 2024, in front of the cafeteria in the student hub. The event included a rapid-fire quiz round with the food handlers of the cafeteria and a brief discussion on the “Five keys to safer food”, which were developed by WHO to educate safe food handling behaviors of all consumers and food handlers. This occasion was also used to express gratitude to all cafeteria staff members for their immense effort to maintain a quality service to our community and their dedication to the safety precautions and policies.
