Type of Activity: Screening, Prevention and Awareness
Organizer office: Health Services

Office of Medical Services partnered with the Community Service Unit of Ajman University in the Anti-Smoking campaign by supporting people who wish to quit smoking.

The Smoke-Free initiative is embarking on the long journey from smoking to smoke-free for people who wish to quit smoking, where on-demand support is provided by Free CO Breath tests with Smokerlyzer and ongoing awareness sessions tailored to individual or group needs.

These actions motivate our community members who wish to quit any products of smoking and tobacco and keep them on track for their successful journey of quitting smoking, in line with UN SDG 3 – to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all ages.

The Smokerlyzer breath tests and one-to-one awareness sessions which are available on demand throughout the year, free of charge ensure not just the confidentiality of a person, but also the confidence of the people as we agree with WHO when they say 'Quitters are Winners' regarding cessation of smoking.
