The Office of Student Housing, in collaboration with the Office of Medical Services, successfully hosted the "Empowering Women's Health: Holistic Wellness Assessments" event.
Aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, the initiative aimed to enhance health awareness, provide preventive care, and promote overall well-being among female students residing in the AU female hostel.
The event featured a comprehensive range of health services, including BMI calculations, monitoring of vital signs such as pulse rate, blood pressure, and oxygen levels, as well as blood sugar checks. More than just health screenings, it provided a platform for students to engage directly with healthcare professionals, discuss their health concerns, and receive personalized advice and support.
"Our commitment extends beyond this event; we are dedicated to continuing to organize initiatives that empower our students, support their well-being, and contribute to their academic success," said Leena Taifour, Director of Student Housing.
This event was well-received by hostel residents, highlighting their proactive approach to personal health and well-being. |
