In line with Ajman University’s ongoing commitment to educate students about the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Office of Student Housing, in collaboration with the Office of Sustainability, organized an engaging and memorable evening workshop titled “Clean Water & Sustainability.” This session aimed to raise awareness about the importance of clean water and sustainable practices for global health and climate resilience.
Led by Ms. Maya Haddad and Ms. Ikram Abdu from the Office of Sustainability, the workshop provided attendees with practical information on water conservation practices, responsible waste disposal, and the crucial link between clean water access, global health, and climate change. The interactive format fostered a dynamic learning environment, allowing students to actively participate and ask questions. Following the presentation, a lively Q&A session provided a valuable platform for female residents to delve deeper into the topic and gain further insights into how climate change impacts water resources and sanitation.
The session concluded with two fun games and sustainable prizes for the winners, reinforcing the message of environmental stewardship and the role individuals play in combating climate change.
This workshop aligns with Ajman University's commitment to inspiring students to become responsible global citizens. By educating them about critical issues like clean water, sustainability, and climate change, the University empowers them to contribute to a more sustainable future.
