As part of its responsibility towards its community, the Office of Students Housing at Ajman University (AU) took part in the community engagement event that was coordinated by the Happiness Association Volunteer Team, Ajman Municipality & Planning Department and Ajman Police, titled “Clean the Land”.
The event saw the participation of 15 AU female resident students who gathered to volunteer and clear litter at the streets of the Emirate of Ajman. The community activity aims to build students resilience, enhance their knowledge base and increase theirs sense of responsibility and awareness towards the environment.
The initiative gave students opportunities to foster relationships, model sustainable leadership, give back to the community and make public spaces and streets cleaner and healthier places.
We were delighted to take part in extracurricular activities that benefit the community, which are all based on a collaboration approach involving all community members, we strive to improve student’s well-being.,” said Ms. Zakia Al Merri from the Office of Student Housing.
Participation certificates were awarded to volunteers from AU’s Office of Students Housing.
