The Student Housing Office organized a networking event for new students at the Female Student Residence at Ajman University. The meeting was attended by Dr. Nahla Al Qassimi, Dean of Student services, Eng. Leena Taifour, Hostel Manager, Dr. Dalia Bedewy, manager of the Student Counselling Unit, Dr. Fetta Djessas, manager of university medical services, along with hostel supervisors.
Dr. Nahla Al Qassimi presented the offices under the deanship of student services, explained their duties, announced the important activities and events coming up and encouraged students to participate in them as well as inviting them to become members of different university activities.
In addition, Dr. Dalia Bedewy, explained the counseling unit and its duties, introduced the workshops including the Individual and group counselling they offer, debating and volunteer work.
After that , Dr. Fetta, explained the medical services available at the university and hostel, encouraged a healthy lifestyle, and spoke about all the safety procedures and instructions that should be followed during any emergency and how to deal with any difficult circumstances that could occur at any time in the hostel.
Also Eng. Leena Taifour, presented the hostel services, activities and invited them to participate in hostel activity, she announced that SHO will organize a special trip for students who usually participate in events and activities.
At the end of the event, Dr. Nahla Presented gifts to lucky winners who won the best kept room in the tidiness and cleanliness contest .
After that there was an open discussion and all the questions were answered and suggestions will be studied by the student housing office.
