As part of the Student Housing Office’s “Wellness Calendar” initiative which aims to promote standards of health and wellbeing of our female residents, we organized an awareness session by Chef factory, titled “30-Day No Sugar Challenge".
The session educated the attendees on the need to reduce obesity levels, spreading health awareness and reducing negative habits and reducing insulin resistance. They also discussed how to prevent the accumulation of fat in the abdominal area and preventing fluid retention in the body. These steps help towards promoting proper nutrition and a healthy lifestyle .
At the end of the session, a free healthy meal was distributed to all attendees. Residents were enquiring about the type of food and when it is recommended to have to help avoid obesity.
