“Project Management for Building Nations” paper presented in Costa Rica
In yet another collaborative endeavor between Municipality & Planning Department and Ajman University of Science & Technology, Engineer Tarik Al Haraki, Business Development Manager at Project Management Office, AUST is the key note speaker at the 9th PMI Congress, “The Strategic PMO” being held in Costa Rica. This Congress has been organized by the Project Management Institute (PMI)®.
Engineer Tarik Al Haraki will present a paper in his key note speech aptly titled “ Project Management for Building Nations” it reviews the initiative of Municipality and Planning Department Ajman for its Public projects implemented across the Emirates and the interactive dealing with the public through its social networking sites which offer unique communication channels and services to the end users via its website: www.am.gov.ae
Mr. Yahya Ibrahim Ahmed, Director General of the Department praised the fruitful cooperation as a strategic partner with Ajman University in the field of public service and the related activities carried out to provide better facilities for the users in the Emirates of Ajman. The projects already implemented in the Emirates under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Head of the Department of Municipality & Planning for Ajman is keen on offering the best amenities for its’ residents. The department fosters and promotes a culture of mutually beneficial cooperation’s that yield an encouraging environment for improved and enhanced experience for the user. This is achieved by relentless efforts by the team through brainstorming sessions taking into account the opinions and suggestions of the public received through the communication channels of media. These are across the board for all public projects implemented through the Department; both internal and external users are regarded as stakeholders whose opinion is of paramount importance.
The paper presented at the Conference by Eng. Al Haraki deals with the implementation of public projects through the project management system while highlighting the positive role of utilizing the social media in enhancing the experience and success of the projects to be implemented by the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman.
This paper is a joint effort of Engineer Al Haraki and Zainab Makki, from Ajman University in coordination with Project Management Office at Municipality and Planning Department of Ajman.
