AUST Shines at GETEX 2014

Ajman University of Science & Technology participated in GETEX Spring 2014, the Middle East's longest running education & training exhibition. Held at Dubai Convention Center over the period of 3 days, it attracted thousands of visitors from all walks of life.

AUST pavilion was an amazing sight of contemporary design and style presenting visitors with its array of educational programs. Currently AUST offers 44 academic programs comprising 32 Bachelor and 11 Master programs, all accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The pavilion was abuzz with students and professionals seeking to pursue undergraduate and graduate studies.

Alongside this display, the pavilion also had an enclosure for on-site training courses offered to visitors of GETEX 2014. AUST Center for Continuing Education offered a series of mini courses on "Introduction to Project Management" presented by Eng. Tarik Al Haraki, Business Engagement Manager at CEC.

The workshop outlined the importance of project management and how it can be applied in personal and professional life. 

The visitors were treated to free checkups for Blood Sugar, Blood Pressure and Analysis of Body Mass Index (BMI) to promote a healthy lifestyle and encourage early detection and prevention of diseases. These checkups were conducted by Eng. Osman Baloola, hailing from the Biomedical Department at the College of Engineering.

The enthusiastic young visitors inquired about the programs offered by Ajman University amongst other queries about admission requirements and services like; Transportation, housing, sports, extramural activities, etc. They were also informed about the student activities and facilities on campus at AUST along with the scholarship provisions.

The turnout for this new GETEX edition was even higher than the previous years and it was encouraging to witness the outreach of this exhibition has managed to attract students from different countries, specially the MENA region.
