AUST Marks Arab Orphan Day

On the Occasion of Arab Orphans Day, the Department of Community Service at Ajman University of Science & Technology; in coordination with Dar Al Ber Charity Association, hosted 30 orphaned children at the campus.

Playing host were students from all the colleges at AUST who welcomed the children with flowers and gifts and spent a fun-filled day with them. The special guests enjoyed a tour on the campus and its various facilities along with free checkups in the dental clinics housed in the College of Dentistry.

The doctors made the children feel comfortable and happy by wearing dresses which bore the cartoon characters and the clinics were decorated aptly with balloons and cartoons. Special guests were then treated to an array of exciting activities and games. Some of them enjoyed face painting while others were enthralled by the magic show put on by some AUST students.

Dr. Abdul Haq Al Nuaimi, Director General for the Department of Student Affairs, explained that the University extends all its support to the humanitarian and charity associations based in the country as part of its initiative for encourage students to be actively part of the community.

Dar Al Ber Association expressed their sincere appreciation for this initiative which provided an essential moral support to these special children.
